COMMUNITY · REPUTATION BEFORE CONTRACTS

Become a known
quantity first.

On GameChangers, community isn't a feature bolted onto a marketplace — it's Layer 2 of the operating system. It's where ideas get vetted, where mission leads watch who shows up with substance, and where aspiring domain experts build verified track records alongside established ones — before any contract is signed.

WHY REPUTATION COMES FIRST

Credentials open doors. Contributions build trust.

FOR ASPIRING EXPERTS
Your track record starts here

Early-career, career-changing, or outside the usual pipelines — the community is where you become visible for what you contribute, not where you studied. Substantive answers, useful analysis, and showing up consistently build a public record that mission leads actually evaluate. Underdogs win here, structurally.

FOR ESTABLISHED EXPERTS
Your judgment, on the record

Decades of experience are invisible on a resume line. In sector spaces, they're legible — the retired utility operator answering the question nobody else can, the regulatory veteran flagging the gap everyone missed. That visibility is what turns reputation into missions.

FOR MISSION LEADS
Watch before you commit

The community is due diligence you couldn't buy: see who engages with your problem space, how they think, and how they treat people — before a contract, an escrow lock, or a single dollar moves.

THE PRE-CONTRACT ECONOMY

Engage. Earn. Screen. Before any contract.

Community isn't a waiting room for the marketplace — it's the first economic layer of it. Four things members do here before a mission contract ever gets signed:

EARN · in commissioning
Get paid before contracts

Paid Get-to-Know sessions, expert storefront subscriptions, playbooks, and advisory offers — domain experts monetize their knowledge from day one of the marketplace, at prices they set. Community standing is what makes those offers discoverable.

GROW · GATED BY COHORT
Build a followership

Contributions, discussions, and events build a visible following — the audience that turns expertise into inbound opportunities. Follower counts are always real; we never simulate them.

CONVENE · in commissioning
Create & join events

Sector events, working sessions, and mission briefings — hosted by members and organizations, from open community calls to invite-only rooms controlled by their hosts.

SCREEN · in commissioning
Vet collaborators first

Watch how a potential collaborator thinks, contributes, and treats people — due diligence through real interaction before any commitment. For mission leads, the community is the screening layer contracts are built on.

WHO CAN ENGAGE — THE ACCESS MODEL

Open where it should be. Controlled where it must be.

Not everything on a mission platform belongs in public — and not everyone gets to engage with everyone. Access follows the platform's four-tier visibility system, and the owner always decides:

PUBLIC
Open groups & spaces

Sector spaces and public discussions — open to every verified member once their sector's cohort threshold is met.

Green tier
CO-SPONSORED
Shared-visibility missions

Missions and events visible to the communities their sponsors choose — broader than private, narrower than public.

Blue tier
REQUEST ACCESS
Subscription & permission-gated

Individual, organization, and mission profiles carry a subscription element: engagement — messages, session requests, collaboration invites — only reaches members the profile owner allows or subscribers they accept. Attention is the scarcest resource experts have; here it's theirs to grant.

Amber tier
CONFIDENTIAL
Private missions & projects

Critical missions, projects, and events are never open to the public. The mission leader and mission owner decide exactly who can see, communicate, and work — participant by participant, with every access grant logged.

Red tier

The rule underneath all four tiers.

Owners control access — always. A profile owner decides who may engage them. A mission owner decides who may enter the room. The platform enforces those decisions technically (permissions, subscriptions, logged grants) rather than socially. That's what makes the community safe for critical-infrastructure work — and what makes an invitation here worth something.

HOW SPACES WORK

Gated until they're real.

Every sector space opens when that sector reaches 1,000 members in a country. Until then, the cohort is forming — and we will never show you a fake member count or simulated activity to make it look otherwise.

Why 13 spaces and 10 sectors? Fair question.

The 10 sector spaces map to our DHS-aligned sector taxonomy — Space & Aerospace through Sports & Recreation. Alongside them sit cross-cutting spaces (research & academia, compliance practice, and materials & advanced manufacturing) for the communities whose work spans every sector. Different shapes for different kinds of belonging — counted honestly.

AT THRESHOLD
Spaces open, seeded

When a sector crosses 1,000 members in a country, its space opens with seeded, operator-grade discussions — real problem questions, compliance edge cases, and mission-pattern debates. Never an empty room.

AT STATUS · FOUNDING COHORT
Reputation meets missions

Community standing becomes part of the trust layer: contributions and consistency sit alongside the Trust Score when missions form and contracts get signed.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

More than a feed. An economy before contracts.

The community isn’t a place to post and wait — it’s where reputation, income, and collaborations start, before any contract exists. Here’s how members actually use it.

EARN
Paid get-to-know sessions

Offer short, paid sessions so mission owners can evaluate fit — you earn while building the track record that makes contracts safer for both sides.

PUBLISH
Contributions & storefronts

Publish work, share playbooks, and run subscription storefronts. Your contributions become visible, verifiable evidence of expertise.

CONVENE
Create & join events

Host or join briefings, workshops, and showcases in your sector — building followership and finding collaborators before you need them.

SCREEN
Screen collaborators

Evaluate potential teammates through real interaction and visible standing, so the people you eventually contract with aren’t strangers.

Honest about scale.

Community spaces are gated until a sector reaches genuine scale, and we never display fabricated member counts or imply a populated community that doesn’t exist yet. What you see is real, or it’s clearly labeled as forming. Tier-1 sectors will reach that threshold first.
